about the artist
I’ve been making art for over 50 years, first to entertain myself as a kid and then to entertain others as a professional illustrator, cartoonist, and fine artist. Since moving from Manhattan into a 100 year-old house in the NJ suburbs, I’ve been enchanted with the beauty and diversity of the houses here, and it is with great enthusiasm that I offer my skills in rendering them.
The Portrait process
Approximately 2 – 3 weeks start to finish

- We’ll agree to the painting size, details, delivery date, and price.
- I’ll send you an invoice for a non-refundable deposit.

- I work from photos.
- I’ll visit your home to take my own if you live within 10 miles of South Orange, NJ.
- If you’re farther away, I’ll give you instructions to take them yourself.
pencil to paper
- I’ll make a detailed drawing from the photos.
- I’ll send you the drawing for comments and final approval.
paint happens!
- The final painting is ready for you to pick up, or have mailed to you.
- It will be in a clear archival sleeve, ready for you to display in the frame of your choice, or to give as a special gift.
